Oooops. I made this Valentine decoration a few days after I discovered it on Just For Rachael but I forgot to post it.
The instructions on her blog were really easy to follow. The only thing that I changed was that I added three hearts instead of two. I bought a ½ yard of three different Valentine fabrics and used some red tulle that I already had. That covered all three hearts and I even had some leftover. I also found to different size styrofoam hearts and I had to cute a third one form a larger piece of styrofoam.
First I cut the fabric and tulle into squares. Each square is about 1 to 2.5 inches. I cut the squares a little bit smaller for the smaller heart.
I began hot gluing the squares to the center of the heart and worked my way to the outside. Once I finished all three hearts I added the same fabric squares to the sides of the hearts to give it a finished looked.
I added a long piece of tulle to the back of the hearts and made a loop at the top so that I can hang it. I used hot glue but added a few staples to that part for extra reinforcement.
