Red & Black Bridal Shower Candy Buffet and MORE...

I hosted a Red and Black Bridal Shower for 45 guests last weekend. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was black and red. We even had 90% black, red and white food and I forgot to take pictures of the food tables. Errrr! My favorite part of the shower was the candy buffet or candy bar.

I collected 8 to 10 medium glass containers in different shapes and sizes and bought candy to fit each container perfectly (of course I had extra candy to add to the containers as the supply decreased). In addition to candy I made chocolate covered strawberries and covered marshmallow treats. The guests snacked on the candy during the shower and filled treat bags to take home.

The candy bar/buffet included:
Dark Chocolate M&M
Plain M&M
Jelly Belly
Red Vines
Black Licorice
Red Rose Suckers
Heart Suckers
Kisses
Cinnamon Candy
Red Hots
Covered Marshmallows
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
I also had chocolate covered strawberries to serve with the red velvet cake.

Labels on the water bottles...
The guests played bridal shower bingo while the bride opened her gifts.
I placed these flower arrangements throughout the house. Each vase had 4 or 5 white roses and 5 or 6 red roses. The food tables had larger arrangements of red and white roses.

As the guests arrived they were given a necklace and instructed to listen for "4 forbidden words". When they heard someone say one of the words they took that persons necklace. The person with the most necklaces at the end of the shower won a prize.
That's it for this shower but I am hosting 2 more before summer so there will be more "shower" posts soon. I hope you enjoyed this one. I love planning and hosting these events. I wish I took pictures of the food tables...I was pretty impressed with how much red and black food that we came up with. I learned my lesson and won't forget to take pictures of the food at any new events.
