Princess Seat and Vanity/Desk Transformation

A few weeks ago I warned you that I would have some "big" projects coming up. I finished two of them today. Both of these are for my daughters (future) big girl room...I am a planner, an over organized planner and once I get an idea I can't stand waiting to get started on it. You can readhere and here what I plan to do in her big girl bedroom.

I found these unique pieces of furniture at two different stores a few weeks ago. I thought they were ugly but looked past the first impression and imagined them in a distressed white finish. It was easy to see how great they would look once I put the paintbrush to them...
Here is the vanity/desk just after I unloaded from my car.
Isn't this better...this is what it looks like now.
Here is a close up of the distressed look that it really has.
And another...

The second piece is come kind of an old chair. I liked it's unusual shape, it's short and wide. I call it the princess seat.
Here it is after I painted and distressed it...
Here are some close ups of the pink and white toile fabric I used to recover the seat and the distressed finish on the wood.
Here they are together. I hope you like them. They look great in person...I wish they looked as good in the pictures as they do when you are really looking at them.

Now they are off to storage until the big transition from nursery to big girl bedroom.
