I've gone through a few Sony digital cameras in the past 7 or 8 years. I enjoyed all of them and used each one more than a lot. I currently have a Sony Cyber-shot that is probably 2 years old. It stays in my purse/diaper bag so that I have it everywhere that I go. Last November I was taking pictures for my website and I realized that I needed to upgrade to a "fancy" camera for this task. After a bit of research and information from many of my photographer friends I decided on the Nikon D5000.
I LOVE this camera. I don't have any photography skills...I wish I did. When the camera is in my hands it rarely is on a setting other than automatic but it always takes amazing pictures. I still use my phone Sony for quick shots when I'm out and about but I've started experimenting with the Nikon and I love taking pictures. If I'm not taking pictures of my products my daughter ends up being the subject. I shouldn't admit that I worked at a photography studio for over 6 years (in high school and college) but I did (I don't have to say that I wasn't the photographer). I stopped in there one day and got a few tips on some things I can do with my camera. The pictures below are my first few attempts when the camera was NOT on automatic. I even made some changes to the photos in Photoshop. I'm learning...
