DIY Shower Invitations

I got an adorable Baby Shower Invitation in the mail a few weeks ago...it arrived just in time for me to disassemble it and make my own version for the shower I'm hosting in May.

It's a two part invitation. The first part is a pocket (on left side of photo below) made from coordinating paper to the theme of the shower. The second part is the piece that is inserted into the pocket...this piece has all of the printed information about the shower.
The first step is to cut all of the pieces. Each invitation requires 1 - 8 1/2 x 11 paper (cut in long pieces) for the main part of the pocket, 2 - triangle pieces to go on the larger pieces after they are folded, 1 paper to print the invitation on and 1 paper to mount the printed invitation on.
Once it has been assembled the pocket will look like this.
When the printed part of the invitation is in the pocket it looks like this.
You can easily slide the printed part of the invitation in and out of the pocket.
Once you have this complete all you need to do is put the entire invitation in the envelope, address it and mail it to the guests. Guests will comment on how cute your invitation is when they call to RSVP too...who wouldn't like that?!?!?!
