Handmade Play Kitchen

Mackenzie got her 1st play kitchen a few weeks ago...it was handmade by her Papa
A few months ago I noticed that she was becoming interested with pretend food so I started looking at play kitchens for kids. I liked one from Pottery Barn Kids but didn't think $1000 for all of the pieces, play food and accessories was reasonable. I was looking for something similar for less money when I had an idea. I made a phone call that basically went something like this:
Me: Hi, Mackenzie has an idea for her Papa
Papa: What is it?
Me: She thinks you should build her a play kitchen. She would like a refrigerator, stove/oven and sink.
Papa: That sounds like a good project for me.

The next day he went to Lowe's and bought the supplies to begin his project. The following day he returned to Lowe's to buy more supplies for his project and the day after that he returned to Lowe's and even stopped at Home Depot to gather a few more things (I think he went everyday or every other day until the kitchen was finished).

This is the inside of the Fridge and Freezer.
This is the top of the sink (it has real sink knobs that really turn) and then the inside.

This is the stove, it also has knobs that turn. Below the stove are double ovens, both with removable racks.

Did you notice that the appliances are stainless steel (silver paint) and the cabinet is white??? It's just like a real kitchen. I love it and so does Mackenzie. She plays with it everyday.

I shared this kitchen post on...
